This is a test. This is only a test. If this were a real post, somthing relevant to my High School life would be made evident.

New Stuff

Hey guys!! My summer's been really busy, so I haven't really had much time to do much of anything. I was at camp for a week, home, and then gone again. It's been really heatic around here lately. I got really bored yesterday and decicded to sit down and wite a little bit. Here's what I've got, I'd appreciate any feedback that anyone's willing to give.

Maze

We run like mice in a hole
Not knowing which way to go.
Some people say "That way's nice"
But it's really cold as ice.
Other's say "No, this is the place to be"
But there is not the place for me.

So many choices to make
Not quite knowing what's at stake
Life's one big maze
And we're all running in a daze

We want the big money
But when we fail, other think it's funny.
We step on each other to get ahead
Yet we'll all eventually end up dead.
Nothing can go with us in the end.

So many choices to make
Not quite knowing what's at stake
Life's one big maze
And we're all running in a daze

Grounded

I haven't blogged in a while because I haven't been allowed on my computer. It's been miserable, because my computer is like my life. Yes, I was stupid; no I'm not gonna say that I didn't deserve to be gounded, but I miss my AIM. It'll be back soon though.

For those that don't know why I have been MIA for the past few weeks allow me to enlighten you. I was out w/my friend Nicki a few Saturday's ago. We had headed up to the mall to do some shopping. After we were done we headed out to drop off somethings for her mom and her aunt and such. Well I was supposed to be home by 7 and no later. Instead of calling like I should have at some point or another, I just stayed out. I was home at 11. 4 hours later than I should have been. Yea, ouch!! So I have been grounded one week for every hour I was late. Double ouch!! My paprents are still letting me go to prom though, which is a big plus, and I'm very excited.

The other new thing on my plate right now is my youth groupe is going on a mission trip to Chicago in June. WE've started rasing money for this, which is going to cost us about $300 per person. We are cleaning, and just helping out with anything that the members of our church need. If anyone is in need of anything that they are willing to pay a teenager to do let me know. We are going around the end of June, so we're are open to any work that you are willing to pay for. If you have anything just email me at shortstop1218@yahoo.com. I'd really appreciate it guys!!

My softball season has offically started!! Along w/it has come almost doubled pain in my knees, and a constant migrain from the girls that I'm playing w/this year. A few of them actually care about what they're doing, and truly try. The rest act as if they are stuck in a 2 foot box, and if the ball doesn't come deliverd to them they won't move. It's rather depressing, and I'm hoping that they improve before our games start.

The guys that have been hounding my door since Tom and I broke up, have started to to cool down. I am kinda interested in this guy that rides my bus, but he has a girlfriend so that's a dead end. I'm perfectly happy being "me" for now. It's nice. thats about all on this end. I'll keep you guys posted on everything. see ya! :-)

Softball

Well, the season is finally on its way!! There is only one glich, we can't think of a team name. We're green this year, and we can't think of anything at all. The team that I'm on this year has bee green before so the dargons is out of the question. What we have come up w/so far is: the leprachauns, clovers, turtles, and thanks to Mark; the frogs. Any other ideas?? We're looking for something a bit more ruthless than what we have at this point. Practices start this week on Thursday. I'm so excited!!

I have a new cousin. My Aunt Gretchen had her baby yesterday. They don't have a name for it yet, but it's a boy. My Aunt Lisa is pregnant, and it's a girl!! She will be the only girl cousin I have on my mom's side of the family. I can't wait!! I'm gonna have so much fun.

This week hasn't been very eventful. I have a term paper due soon, so I think that it would be a good idea to go work on it now. Oops!

Shower.........???

not until 2:30. THat only happened because the guy charged it, whatever that means. I was finally able to get clean though. I was happy. I spent the morning working on our town softball fields so we can all play this summer and it was icky. They were wet and gross and covered with trash, and leaves. O well, we came, we saw, and we didn't run away. Maybe next year. ; -) I'm actually on a different team this year than I have been the last three years. I was kinda dissapointed because this will, in fact, be my last year in this division before I move up, but that's what I get for signing up late. *sigh* At least I get to play.

Not a whole lot is new here. I saw Secret Window on Wednesday night with a few of my friends. It was really good, if you're into the suspence and slightly creepy kind of stuff. It had a nifty ending though.

I'm having my good and my bad days with the whole Tom thing. I think I'm sorta having second thoughts about the whole thing, and then kicking myself because of them. I don't know what I'm going to do. I miss him a lot, and it hurts really badly. I dunno. Yesterday was one of those bad days. I was listening to the radio, and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith came on and I was a mess. That was "our" song, and the song Tom sang to me at formal. All I kno is that I'm lost, confused, and I want this whole mess to go away. He and I are gonna talk about this whole "thing" when he gets back from basic training in December, and just kinda go from there.
Does anybody have any suggestions?? I'd really apreciate them. Thanx :-)

Well, that about raps it all up for me today. Nothing, new or intersting or exciting. SSDD ; -)

Learning

I may not have had to go to school today as a student per se, but I went as a "shadow". My dad was doing some work for Burnham Elementary today, and I sat in on a few classes and learned quite a bit. Everything from getting the kids interested in what you want them to learn, to squashing a problem before it even has a chance to start. It was a really cool experience. I ran into a bunch of people who kept telling me that I looked like my mother. I took that as a compliment. Quite a few of the kids remembered my mom too, so they kept coming up and asking how she is and if she's coming back any time soon. Basically they were telling me that mom needs to come and visit some time (hint hint).

My break has been very nice. I was up with mom on Sunday night, and left Tuesday night. I had a lot of fun. Si and I hung out, and were able to catch up on things. Heather didn't want me to leave, but I think she's coming down over the weekend of April 2, so I'll see her in about a week and a half. I do actually have to get some work done sometime though. I have a term paper due on the 16th of April, so I have to get to the library sometime soon and pick up some books. I won't be too terribly hard to find information because it's on Edgar Allen Poe, but it does take work. O well, I'll survive. :-)

The rest of my week is going to be devoted to sleep, shopping, and working on my paper. It's been nice to have the week off, but I think I'm going through print withdrawls. It sounds bad, but I miss the smell of our room, and the darkroom, and palying with the big machines. We get to start doing out t-shirts soon!!! I'm so excited!! :-) This is what I've been waiting for the entire year. Well, I think Im actually going to go do something useful like start my homework. ;-)

Ranting

I was babysitting last night. The kids were great but the movie we watched was horrible!! I saw The Cat in the Hat for the first time and was very dissapointed. The cat almost swore about 3 or 4 times. It went fom being a "g" rated book for 5 and 6 yr olds to being a PG-13 rated movie. I think the rating was actually PG but o well. It was also NOTHING like the movie. THe mom had a bf who wanted to send her kid to military school, she worked in real estate, it was awful. I will never again see a Dr. Seuss movie unless it's a cartoon. Hollywood botches too many good books for my liking. O well, what are you gonna do.

I have spring break this week, so I'm heading up w/my mom today and staying w/her for a few days at school. The rest of the week is going to be devoted to my friends, shopping, and finding material for my term paper.

Well, it's offcial. Every guy that I have ever talked to at LC now knows that I'm single. Mom has taken to asking me if I kno any girls. lol My steady response is" I don't want another relationship yet.", but they still think they can change my mind. *sigh* O well.

Nothing else happening on this end, so I will write again tomorrow. See ya.

IM BAAAAAAAACK!!

Wow, I haven't done this in a LONG time!! I guess I have a Lot of updating to do.

First of all, for those who don't already know, Tom and I broke up. : ( It's really depressing, but I'll survive. We're still friends, and that's a big plus.

Next, would be that Sarah had her baby on the 23 of Feb. She is 8lbs 11oz and 20in long. She was a healthy baby, with only one minor complication. She has so extra fluid in her lungs, but after that was cleaned out she was just fine.

As of this moment, I'm actually planning 2 diferent things for this summer. One is my youth groupe will be doing a mission trip in the city. We're all really excited and hope that we all will be able to go. Next is summer camp. Hopefully I will be able to be a CIT this summer at camp. I am excited about this too because I haven't been to camp in a few years and this will give a great chance to catch up with the people I miss.

I think the last thing thats on my agenda is college picking. I am a sophmore this year, but I won't be for much longer. I already know what I want to do, I just need to figure out where I want to go to learn how to do it. In case anyone's wondering, I want to teach, preferably high school. Im not sure what subject yet, but I'm working on that.

Well, I think that's about it. Not much else to tell, so I'm gonna go and get started on some of my homework, and pull up my grades. OOPS! Bye!! : )
